Installing the Map on Garmin Navigators

1. Downloading and Unpacking the Map

Download the map archive UkraineTopoMap.zip. After downloading, unpack the archive using an archiver program (for example, WinRAR or 7-Zip).

2. Connecting Garmin to the Computer

Connect your Garmin navigator to the computer via a USB cable. After connecting, the device should appear as an external drive.

3. Copying the Map File

Copy the file UkraineTopoMap.img to the "Garmin" folder on your device.

Important: On some Garmin models, more often older ones, you need to rename the file UkraineTopoMap.img to gmapsupp.img for the device to recognize the map.

It is possible that the "Garmin" folder already contains a "gmapsupp.img" file. This is a standard file that stores installed maps. If you are adding new maps, you can: Either replace the existing "gmapsupp.img" file with the new one (if you only want to use the new maps), or add the map file without changing the name UkraineTopoMap.img to the same "Garmin" folder. Garmin navigators usually recognize multiple map files, more often on more modern models.

4. Disconnecting and Checking

After copying the file, safely disconnect the device from the computer. Turn on the navigator and go to the map settings to make sure that the new map is displayed and activated.

Done!

Your UkraineTopoMap map has been successfully installed and is ready for use. Enjoy your travels!
